In multiple games last season, Summers had three or more steals. This includes a game against Green Hill High School where she had seven steals. She sees the floor well, which allows her to be a step ahead of most players in reading passing lanes. She also sets herself up in the most ideal defensive position when her assignment has the ball routinely.

Really smoot guard. Knows how to facilitate and make others better. Attacks the rim to create or score. Got to a nice reverse layup off the bounce. Showed a lot.

She took the reins as the starting point guard for Science Hill. While their season was up and down some, she remained steady and confident. She’s a natural leader who is tough nosed on defense and a game changer on offense. I expect her to take on a bigger leadership role with us and display her skills as a small guard.

Summers earned the starting PG spot early on, and has not relinquished it. The ’27 has put together a tremendous freshman season from an experience standpoint….her counting stats don’t pop….but more valuable are the minutes and experiences she’s getting as a starting PG for a top-tier program in the state as a freshman. Her upside is exceptionally high!
