Coach Jeff Schaffer’s 5A Gamecocks looked every bit like one of the premier 5A squads in the Palmetto State when thy took to the court against another 5A assembling in St. James. Croskey was a big reason for that on Thursday morning. There was rain in the forecast for the Hartsville area and Coker University was no exception as Croskey drained a pair of triples in the first half to pad Sumter’s lead in the second quarter. Croskey also has no issues drawing contact and finding her way to the free throw line and can be every bit as effective a passer as she is a point-getter. The 2023-24 season will be the final campaign for Sumter’s big three and they are sure to make it a memorable one.
