Showed an impressive ability to sell a fake and get the entire gym leaning one way before using a euro step to finish at the basket. She has excellent deception, body control, and creativity around the rim. She did a great job manipulating the defense and changing direction to create a clean scoring opportunity.

McCray is another young lady who showed me early she was going to be a problem on the court see evaluations here, but she’s even more poised and confident with the ball. Seeing her attack the basket strongly from multiple spots to score is one thing; watching her elevate off the dribble and score from midrange looked good, but her improved “catch and shoot” from deep looked

McCray is smooth and confident with the ball, and seeing her excel in her age group, as well as playing up, should give you some clues. I also like her versatility to play multiple positions as well as her skillset, as she does the little things which turn out to be big see evaluations here

McCray grabbed my attention last season by standing out in multiple divisions, see evaluations here, so anything she does from here on will not surprise me. She is creating her shot while being pressured, even better, yet she’s also creating spacing to get it off. Her “stop and pop” looked good, her court vision in the set, as well as positioning to outrebound taller players, all have gotten better

This rising prospect is already playing up and producing—and doing it with confidence.

Explosive downhill attacker that finishes through contact
Smooth pull-up jumper + growing shot creation
High IQ + poise under pressure—never rushed
Defensive presence—active hands, steals, nonstop motor

She impacts the game on BOTH ENDS and brings that “never takes a play off” mentality every time she steps on the floor 🐾

Against older competition, she’s not just competing… she’s standing out

McCray Grabbed my attention last season playing her age as well as moving up and doing some damage with her organization’s older squad see evaluations here so it didn’t take me long to realize her potential. Her “poise under pressure” will translate quickly when she enters high school, so will her “never takes a play off” mentality as she brings heat on both ends. Her court vision across the board looks better, she’s finishing stronger off the dribble and her pull-up jumper looked good

McCray has been on my radar for a minute see evaluations here, and seeing her drop it from midcourt towards the end of the game had me smiling because she was in the rhythm. She’s a “long and athletic” guard with a strong first step, yet her finishing after contact off the dribble is a plus, so is watching her create her shot to drop it from outside

McCray continues to show me how versatile she is, and knowing she understands how to create her shot and drop the jumper as well as score off the dribble, her rebounding on both end,s as well as “on the ball” pressure, stood out, so did her playing the passing lane and seeing the floor

McCray has some serious upside and she already understands how to split defenders and score off the dribble. Her court vision is nice, and so is her pull-up jumper yet the “on the ball” pressure she applies baseline to baseline helps to create turnovers and she too plays the passing lane
