There are not many bigger names in Northern Colorado basketball than Kyla Hollier Kyla Hollier 6'2" | SF Roosevelt | 2026 State CO , and she can straight light-up the scoreboard from all over the court. Kyla enters her junior year a two-time state champ and the leader of a Roosevelt team that while different, has the talent to make another deep run. One of the major differences for the Roughriders is that Hollier and fellow returning 5A first team all-state teammate, Ryanne Bahnsen-Price Ryanne Bahnsen-Price 6'0" | SG Roosevelt | 2025 State CO , will have to carry much more of the scoring load. The good news is that Kyla is more than capable and I expect her to absolutely dominate. Exemplified by her 471 points last season – She is unstoppable with good position inside, gets to the charity stripe with consistency, and has the outside touch to increase her 3 pointers made this season. Mark my words – Kyla is going to be one of the top scorers in the entire state of Colorado this year.

Kyla is coming off about as good a season you could have for a sophomore. She led Roosevelt to it’s second consecutive 5A state title and was 5A Player of the year. Hollier holds offers from three in-state division I programs (CSU/UNC/DU) as well as many other mid-major D1 schools. Kyla is a dynamic athlete that competes on both ends of the floor. Defensively she dominates by getting deflections that turn into steals and rebounding all over the yard. Offensively, she can fill it up from the paint as well as connect from the 3 point line. With the loss of some quality seniors she will carry even a bigger load this season, but there is no doubt she is ready and will take this team on another title run.

Kyla’s game is the gift that keeps on giving, she seems to get better within every season. For Colorado Lockdown this summer she answered the call time and time again when needed. Making her presence felt throughout the summer has helped expand her game all around, especially on offense. By taking her post game to another level becoming more aggressive with the ball and taking whatever the defensive gives her.

She helped lead Roosevelt to back-to-back state championship titles along with raising her stock nationally in the process. The 6’1 wing was a dominant paint presence which includes a variety of moves around the basket. Hollier also has the skill set to operate on the perimeter, whether it’s downing knock opens jumpers or breaking defenders down one on one.
