A kid that knows how to score the basketball. She is currently ranked number one in her class because she averaged over 20 points a game this past season as an eighth grader. She loves having the ball in her hands and is able to make the correct play. Lailah has a great feel for the game whether it is knowing when to find ways to score or when to keep moving the ball in the offense to get someone else an open look.

Singletary first proved that she belonged at the high school varsity level as a seventh grader and has not looked back since. She is a Division I prospect who recently secured an offer from Coastal Carolina and spent this month’s initial live period in Las Vegas at Nike EYBL Session 3 with Twelve Time . Her ability to handle the ball with either hand and find lanes to the rim can especially throw defenses for a loop. Rebounding is another one of Singletary’s many positives. Singletary would compete in all 27 contests last season for Irmo while averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per matchup. Her Yellow Jackets are moving from 5A back to 4A starting with the 2026-27 season. 

At the beginning of the month, Singletary secured her first Division I offer courtesy of Morehead State. The rising freshman star from 4A Irmo is bookending her June camp month with another Division I offer from Coastal Carolina. Singletary has worn the Twelve Time uniform during this year’s grassroots months. Singletary is another who has more varsity experience than the average rising freshman considering she first wore Yellow Jackets gold and black as a seventh grader. Singletary would average 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 blocks and 3.6 assists in addition to playing in all 27 games. 

As June commenced, Singletary would land her first Division I offer as Morehead State extended one in her direction. One can guess that will be far from the last time such an offer will be fielded by Singletary. After a pair of seasons in the 5A Division 2 ranks, Singletary’s Irmo assembling will make its return to the 4A ranks next season. Singletary is playing up in class with Twelve Time EYCL 15U which spent May’s live period at Nike Session 2 in New Orleans. Singletary is looking to build on a 2025-26 season where she earned team co-captaincy duties as an eighth grader. She averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per contest last season for the Yellow Jackets. 

When playing 4A Irmo as 3A Camden did at Tuesday’s camp, priority number one has to be to keep Singletary in check. The Bulldogs found out that accomplishing that task against the rising star Yellow Jackets freshman is very difficult. Singletary got her scoring day started with a pair of 3-pointers and then got out in transition for a fastbreak layup. She also displayed her ability to handle the ball even amongst multiple defenders along with her willingness to draw contact and get to the free throw line. In her eighth-grade season, Singletary averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.6 assists per game in 27 games. 

Singletary has ran with Twelve Time throughout the spring months of AAU ball and recently competed during the second live period at Nike’s Session 2 in New Orleans. During her weekend in Louisiana, Singletary averaged 15.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Singletary’s Irmo team is set to move from the 5A ranks back down to 4A beginning with the 2026-27 season. The 2025-26 version of Irmo finished with a 16-11 record and Singletary would play in all 27 of the Yellow Jackets’ contests. She averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per game. Singletary is playing up in class in 15U. 

Singletary is still flying under the radar as one of the best 2030s in the Southeast region. She continued to impress by averaging more than 17 points per game on the circuit. There were multiple games where she was shooting the three balls at a very high clip and sometimes over fifty percent. When defense would take away her perimeter shot, she did an excellent job of putting the ball on the floor and attacking. She has a silky-smooth pull up jumper where she elevated right over the defender’s head. Lailah also had her share of steals that led to easy transition buckets for her.

Alot of people have said they have not seen a young player make the jump and improve as much as Lailah did between her 7th and 8th grade season. Well, I am here to tell you this kid is in the Big Leagues now. She is a dominant three level scorer and led the state of South Carolina in scoring at different times during the season.

Arguably the signature 2030 of 2030s throughout the Palmetto State, those that did not have Singletary on their radars prior to this season certainly have her on them now. Irmo’s first-round draw in the 5A Division 2 tournament was Myrtle Beach. With 17 points, the Yellow Jackets were on the winning end of a low-scoring, 38-27 result over the Seahawks. Singletary has averaged 23.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.7 assists this season. The win over Myrtle Beach earned Singletary and her Irmo team a second-round get-together with defending 5A Division 2 champion Berkeley. Following this season, Singletary will be the 4A realm’s problem as Irmo will move back to 4A beginning in 2026-27.

One of the top scorers and players in the state even though she is only a 2030. Averaging 25 points a game, 9 rebounds and shooting 46 percent from deep is just a few things to highlight about Lailah’s breakout season. She is a dynamic guard that is silky smooth with the ball in her hands. Her finesse and quickness getting downhill is next level and her shooting ability beyond the arc is elite. This young lady has an extremely bright future ahead of her. She is special!
