Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
There’s quite a few successful programs in Oklahoma that Dooley would’ve started for and likely been a featured option. Instead she played for one of the deepest teams in the state, and was rewarded with a ring. Along with the valuable everyday lessons of practicing with two of the best guards in the state, who are going to the higher levels of college basketball.
The speed and intensity she’s shown in valuable minutes off the bench paint the picture of a guard with big time upside. Seems to play with a chip on her shoulder on the defensive end. While having a great first step, ball fakes and more to be a dynamic driver. One of the must watch players over the next calendar year, as her game could take off.

The freshman had a strong stint in the first half that came via her outstanding motor. Multiple steals, where her quick hands and tenacity allowed her to straight up take it from the opposition. What made it simply a good but not great quarter was her struggles with finishing at the rim. There was one agile and nimble drive where she avoided two defenders that really deserved a score. But she missed a good look. Which she was playing with a wrap up her left hand. But she didn’t let her scoring dictate her energy level, as even after one miss she still raced back on defense and ended up swatting a jumper. The defense, competitiveness and quickness are already present for her to be a top tier high school player.

Dooley would start for a lot of schools in Oklahoma. As she’s quick, tough and skilled. Instead she’s chosen to be part of one of the deepest teams in Oklahoma, LCS. Already making her mark as an impact bench player. Forcing turnovers, dropping dimes and the occasional score. Shown her scoring chops in early freshman games, which is an indication of what her production as an upperclassman should look like.

There’s no let up for LCS when the youngster checks into the game. She’s lightning quick, which already makes her a menace on the defensive end. Hunts on the ball or jumps passing lanes. Has an eye for the exciting assist with tight window passing. Great first step and handles makes her a scoring threat as well. Already is starting to establish herself in the rotation for one of the deepest teams in Oklahoma.

Started the first five-on-five game with a corner three, and then a floater in the lane right after. Really shifty and hard to guard. Had another huge play running the floor for a lefty layup. Such a matchup problem because she can go by anyone that tries to take away the three-pointer.

A very skilled shooting guard that can knock down the shot off the catch or off the bounce. Deep shooting range for a 2029. Laine is coming off fantastic summer circuit picking up college offer as a 2029. Great size and skill set will fit right in for 4A powerhouse Lincoln Christian.

The defending 4A champs will have strength in numbers with their incoming freshmen. Top among them is Dooley a speedy guard. Complete with a varsity ready all around game. Already has a strong feel for the game on both ends of the court. Look for her to make the right plays and bring competitiveness in her minutes as LCS chases another Gold Ball. Setting the stage for an even bigger impact as a sophomore.
