About Lainey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Isn’t afraid to drive to the basket or take a far shot, looking for assists and ways to help the team by hustling and being aggressive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Caring, empathetic person who loves to play basketball and wants to win. Always pushing myself to be better and go out of my comfort zone to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in our sophomore student council along with service club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am able to recognize the importance of helping our community for the better of the people, not just myself. I love working with people who are like me and enjoy being in each others presence.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have always had a challenge with confidence and forgetting to play for the love of the game. This year, I am focusing on snapping back from these setbacks and using a website called Elite Competitor to challenge these negative thoughts.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a medium sized school close to home. Academics are really important to me, and I want to be in an area where I am accepted for who I am.
