brings a fearless edge to the Ramsay backcourt — a 5’8 combo guard built for competition on both ends of the floor. She’s a two-way threat who thrives under pressure, attacking defenses with confidence while setting a defensive tone that matches Ramsay’s full-court identity.
Nelson is a pure scorer with a relentless mindset. She’s always in attack mode — getting downhill, pulling up from midrange, or stepping out beyond the arc with rhythm and range. Her ability to score from all three levels makes her a constant problem for opposing guards. But just as important, she takes pride in defending. Her on-ball presence, quick reactions, and active hands allow her to frustrate ball-handlers and force turnovers that ignite transition offense.

Shades Valley ➝ Ramsay
Nelson comes to Ramsay after a standout season at Shades Valley, where she led the team in assists and three-pointers made, while finishing second in scoring. A true pass-first point guard, she combines an explosive first step with disruptive on-ball defense, making her a headache for opposing backcourts.
Outlook with Ramsay: Coach Wilson now has an interesting dilemma — both Nelson and Fenderson are natural floor generals. How he uses them together will be key, but the duo gives Ramsay a dynamic backcourt with multiple playmakers capable of running the show.

Nelson is the definition of a lead guard. She possesses great quickness and athleticism combined with nice decision making. Her explosive first step allows her to get past defenders and create for herself and teammates. She finishes well in the paint with great body control. She also has a nice midrange game and solid shot from behind the arc that gives her an all-around offensive package. Defensively she is extremely disruptive and creates problems for opposing backcourts. With her being only a sophomore she has tremendous upside and a high ceiling.
