As she always does, Stolzenberg stood out again on Sunday for her exceptional effort and extreme competitiveness. Once known mainly for her athleticism and motor, Lauryn now plays with more control and maturity. Her ball-handling is sharper, her shooting more efficient, and her decision-making improved. That was obvious at the Expo. She still hustles nonstop, defends with toughness, and channels her energy into smart plays. With exceptional fire, zero fear, and better balance between aggression and patience, Stolzenberg has transformed herself into a more complete player.

#95 – Lauryn is one of the most athletic, most fearless players in the Class of 2027, a gifted prospect with plenty of quality raw material from which to build herself into a college basketball player. That process is well underway now, and Stolzenberg has made nice progress since our first viewing in the spring of 2023. That day Lauryn grabbed our attention by executing a sophisticated behind-the-back dribble while in full flight on her way to the lane. Since then her handles have improved even more as has her shooting and decision-making, and she can still hit the mid-range jump shot on a regular basis.

We’ve never seen Lauryn compete in a game of one-on-one on an asphalt driveway or neighborhood court, but chances are it would be a ton of fun to watch chaos ensue. That’s because the scrappy guard is an absolutely fierce competitor who doesn’t know the meaning of fear. With a wiry build and tons of athleticism, Stolzenberg’s skills have come a long way since we first evaluated her early in the summer of 2023. She handles it better, shoots it better, and makes better decisions. Her ability to elevate and hit the pull-up jump shot from mid-range is impressive. Lauryn is so quick and so aggressive. Given time, she has the potential to be really good.
