Layla can be a lead guard or play off the ball with Seton. She can easily average 15 and 10 but what will be her role on a heavy guard lineup? Getting through the summer first the Germantown Lady Panthers are letting her loose and that should pay off with a preseason bump up.

Layla attacks the basket well and her finishing move of choice is the floater that she can accurately execute out to 13 feet. Once she gets a head of steam it’s hard to stop her from getting to her spot and some of her makes would be impossible for most players. Her stock continues to rise as she’s getting more consistent each period.

Layla made good use of the floater and played with a lot of intensity on the defensive end. Some of her shots would be bad shots for someone else but she has the ability to make shots from some incredible angles, she even dropped a half court buzzer beater all net. She shot well from three but her highlights were on contested shots.

Layla will find that moving from PG County public schools to a WCAC team is not the easiest of transitions. If she can navigate the move and show out here she will see that things will start to come easy for her on the next transition to college. Keeping her confidence up playing with and against elite players will allow her to do some of the same things that made her special at Parkdale.
