Expert Analysis
Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Leah put together one of the most effective performances we saw all weekend. She scored efficiently, delivered clean passes, and came away with key steals during a tight matchup with the Maurice Lucas Enforcers.
Her speed immediately stands out, but what separates her even more is her ability to read the floor and anticipate ball movement before plays fully develop.

While a standout performance from Leah isn’t surprising, putting in 45 points and nine 3-pointers isn’t her typical day in the gym. She has only dropped below double digits once this year and

Leah is a highly skilled, fundamentally sound, high-IQ guard who plays with purpose and precision. Her game is built on her ability to read angles, manipulate defenders, and score at all three levels. She sees the floor exceptionally well, shoots it at an elite clip, and controls the tempo without ever forcing possessions. Through the first three games, she’s averaging 26 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.7 steals while hitting 50% from beyond the arc — including helping her team set a new state record with 20 made threes, knocking down 10 of them herself in the first half.
If a program wants a guard who elevates everyone on the floor, Leah is a no-brainer pickup. She’s already a clear JUCO/NAIA-level recruit, and with added strength over the next year, she projects as a legitimate D2-plus prospect.

As the only top-five player under the six-foot mark, Leah proves that impact isn’t just about size — it’s about skill, IQ, and versatility. She’s far more than just a scorer. Leah runs the offense with poise, takes on primary ball-handling responsibilities, and distributes effectively, helping Maple Mountain break pressure and stay composed in tight-game situations. Offensively, she’s a three-level threat — able to score off the drive, attack the mid-range, hit outside shots, and finish in traffic. That complete scoring package makes her extremely difficult to game-plan against and a constant problem for opposing defenses.
