Leah has given Virginia Academy a boost to a starting lineup that with her arrival now has a solid big three! The George Mason commit is a talented wing who makes the players around her better with her poise and ability to make plays. She sees the floor well and is capable of exploiting gaps within the defense by attacking and getting to spots to score or dish to open teammates.

Virginia Academy and Cedar Hill was another low-scoring and close game, which kind of seemed to be the theme of the day.

didn’t have any trouble finding her offense though. Leah got to the line a handful of times, and she scored the ball from all over the court. This game was one that I was excited to watch, and it didn’t disappoint.

Bounced around a bit in high school but has found a home at Virginia Academy! 5’10 guard/wing has really good size and is very veristle and is able to play multiple positions. There was no question that Leah was the go to player on her GTS Fusion AAU team this spring and summer showing her potential on the floor. She will join her teammate from last season and stay close to home headed to George Mason University.

‘ jump shot has gotten leaps and bounds better, and it has helped open up her greatest skill more. Her ability to attack the basket is elite, and now defenses aren’t giving her the room to shoot, so she is punishing defenses more. Leah can play three positions and can get to the rim no matter who is on her at this level.

Recently decommitted from Navy and now she has great recruiting momentum heading into July after picking up an offer from George Mason! A versatile player that is a three level scorer with a much improved three point shot. Her ability to drive to the basket makes her a constant threat to defenses. No doubt a player that has heavy interest from multiple division one school head into her last AAU season this July!

can shoot the ball from all over the court at a high level. She has fantastic range and creates her looks from three. Leah can also spot up. This Virginia Academy team is full of outstanding shooters, and Leah is one of them. At DMVlive, she went 9/18 in four games and showed why she is one of the top shooting wings in NOVA.

-Athlete, north south driver, what she lacks in polish she makes up for with a motor that runs hot. Gets her own rebound well to finish around the rim but can also hit shots from the perimeter (50% on the weekend off 18 attemps). Sets the tone with her energy and makes winning plays at both ends of the floor

had an excellent day for Virginia Academy. Her jump shot was working, and she had some wonderful takes. Leah had a great year last year, but she is poised to take another leap and be one of the best guards in NOVA. She finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Leah Keyes is one of the bigger names on this squad, and for good reason. She has racked up state championships and made first-team all-state. Leah is a versatile defender and a talented offensive player. With all this being said, I still feel like Leah has a lot of untapped potential and can still unlock parts of her game. She recently reopened her recruitment, so I think she is an exciting player to watch going forward.

Leah is a long combo guard/wing that can defend multiple positions and has good shot blocking ability at her size! Has great outside range nice mid range shot and shoots consistently behind the three point line. Still a raw player but expect her stock to keep rising her sophomore season!
