She has a tight handle and can string together different combo dribbles to create opportunities. Defensively, she uses her long reach well in the passing lanes to generate steals. She’s also a smooth spot-up 3-point shooter and does a good job using her body to bump defenders on her way to the rim.

Slaughter is a dynamic lefty who knows how to break down defenders and attack with purpose. She has great handles, reading the defense before exploding into gaps, initiating contact, and using her length to score around multiple defenders, while also knocking down threes. She creates opportunities for others as well, making smart kickouts after drawing defenders, and her aggressive defense allows her to turn steals into transition offense.

Slaughter is an offensive threat at all three levels, with her crafty ball handling, footwork, and perimeter shooting. She attacked gaps with purpose, used her length and body control to finish over defenders, and created quality looks with moves like her quick crossover and up-and-under finish. She also ran the floor well in transition, found open space along the perimeter, and was ready to knock down threes when the opportunity presented itself.

Virginia Academy had a lot of depth this year, especially with their off guards and wings, but Sky Slaughter Sky Slaughter 6'0" | CG/PG Virginia Academy | 2029 State VA still found a way to get minutes. Sky joined this VA Academy team late, and although she did not always get a lot of minutes, she made the most of them when she did. She defends well and is a great driver. She has great length and can knock down jump shots.
