Leah plays under control, off 2 feet on finishes plus maintains a positive attitude on the floor through adversity. This isn’t the fastest guard, but the steady approach from Rivers-Wright offers a sense of security.

Leah is a high-energy player who is constantly looking for ways to impact the game. She fights hard on the glass, competes for loose balls, and brings consistent effort on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Leah attacks the basket aggressively, lowering her shoulder and embracing contact once she gets into the paint rather than allowing defenders to knock her off her path.

Leah showed some impressive flashes at the showcase. Typically, players aren’t as comfortable going to their offhand, but not Rivers-Wright. There were multiple times that the Maynard guard identified shaky defenders and took advantage of the open space. The craftiness on the touch after creating space was also noteworthy. Leah is one to keep tabs on this season.

Leah went 4-0 in her first tournament of the season and made a strong all-around impact. She is a good passer who sets up teammates effectively and also fights hard on the offensive glass to create extra possessions. She can knock down open threes and is a strong finisher around the rim, using her body well to create space and score through contact.
