Leah was a key contributor for Grass Lake during the high school season, and she’s off to a great start for Michigan Premier 17U. Leah competes hard in every game, plays with endless energy, and makes bigger guards uncomfortable with her scrappy defense. She moves her feet quickly to cut off drives, reaches in to create teakaways, and causes jump balls. Leah knocked down a smooth corner jumper, made a great transfer running full speed in transition to score a catch and finish layup with her left, and drove with a burst to score off the dribble.

Leah, a guard for Michigan Premier, is coming off a strong high school season and looks ready to carry that momentum into the spring. She brings relentless defensive energy, applying pressure to opposing guards, forcing turnovers, and even turning steals into easy points. Leah also isn’t afraid to mix it up, battling for loose balls and tying up possessions when needed. Offensively, she can knock down shots from the perimeter, including the corner, and finish through contact with toughness. With the ball in her hands, she’s quick and crafty, creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates. I’m excited to see how she competes at the College Tour – Northwood this weekend.

The moment never feels too big for Leah, and she stepped up once again for Grass Lake. Leah grabbed a defensive board, pushed the ball up the court with pace using both hands in transition, then buried a confident pull-up jumper up top. She showed off her hops, climbing the ladder to snatch a rebound, and actively pursued the ball off the rim throughout the game. Leah delivered down the stretch for the Warriors. She converted a layup, dished out a key assist, and added a breakaway layup after a steal. Leah poured in six points, grabbed seven rebounds, and added three steals in the win.

Leah looked fearless on the court for Mystics Jackson 16U at the Get Ready tourney. She agitated opposing guards with her pressure, swiped the ball away to score a layup, and clamped both hands on the ball to tie it up. Leah knocked down a corner jumper and converted a strong and-one layup through contact with her left hand. She’s shifty with the ball and effective at setting up teammates to score.
