Leighton was in my top two of my favorite players to watch at the showcase. When I wasn’t scouting her, I found myself looking to see what she was doing on the other court. She’s just that good! Leighton’s presence is felt on both ends of the court. She’s strong, active and has what feels like and endless motor. She often took on other teams’ bigs and didn’t back down. She performs well in the paint with strong, low post-ups. Leighton plays with fire and seems to have a passion for competing. And again, since I love great passing, I must highlight her strong, hard passes. Leighton’s work ethic will take her places!

Leighton is a strong-framed forward who can contribute in a variety of ways. She flashed a nice shooting touch from the mid-range, brought plenty of physicality as an interior defender, and I loved her activity on the glass on both ends.

A strong, athletic post player with developing perimeter skills, Leighton can finish around the basket, knock down short jumpers, and score around the rim. Defensively, she’s a solid interior presence who protects the paint and has quick enough feet to switch onto guards.

Boler proved to be one of the toughest matchups at Run 4 the Roses. Her relentless motor, physical play, and polished footwork allowed her to score inside while also knocking down mid-range shots. She rebounded consistently, defended multiple positions, and showed she has the versatility to play anywhere from the post to the wing.

Leighton brought a relentless motor and physical presence that was hard to ignore. She controlled the paint on both ends, establishing herself as a dominant post player who could finish through contact and clean up around the rim. What added to her impact was her ability to step out and knock down a mid-range shot, showing she’s more than just a traditional post. Her effort, toughness, and consistency made her one of the most reliable performers throughout the weekend.
