We saw a lot of promise out of Lily Barer of CR Washington High School this Winter. Barker was a solid option on offense for the Warriors as a threat from the outside. She also possessed a solid handle to help her run the offense if things were to breakdown within their game-plan down the court. Defensively, she held her own. She didn’t fold in many occasions and she wasn’t a liability that other team’s try to target within their scouting report, which is always a good sign. CR Washington made a big State run into DSM to finish off their Winter. Something their Senior Class should be proud of as they look back on it.

from CR – Washington over the past couple of months. Barker is a SG with solid coordination, balance, touch on the ball, smarts, and shooting stroke. She is someone that can knock down shots off the catch or she can be active by screening away and helping the others around her game open. As of most recently, Barker has been receiving interest from the collegiate level to continue on following this Winter. I’m not sure if that will be her path in life but she is definitely someone that is going to make an impact this year off the ball with her team’s crafty D2 – PG, Sam Becker.

of CR Washington has some skill to her game and she has just been overshadowed the last few seasons. Barker looks to me more like a SG than anything else. She has a fundamental shooting stroke off the catch on the outside with the ability to put it on the floor if she is over-played. Barker is also sound in the aspects on defending, rebounding, and facilitating. I wouldn’t say she is a natural in these things but she works hard at all of them and the production because of that is noticeable. CR – Washington will return a lot of hoopers from last year this upcoming season. If they build off of what they put into place a year ago, they are going to be excited with where it takes them at the end of the day. No doubt about it.
