Davis was on a tear in 3SSB play. The downhill attacks just can’t be stopped no matter the caliber of defender. When Lily decides where she wants to go, she’s getting there. She forges paths in a way that’s striking to witness. Those guarding her can decide to back off, but her improved 3-point shot has been making them pay for their errors. Her calling card is still the stifling perimeter and full court pressure defense. In the games watched, it was clear her athleticism overwhelmed primary ballhandlers attempting to initiate. Simply put, Davis puts a damper on the opposition’s plans. It wouldn’t be surprising if Lily gets a slew of calls from top schools in the coming months. She already has a few offers, but coaches are going to recognize this is one of the hottest ’28 names that the spring/summer has to offer.

Lily plays with patience and control, never letting defenders speed her up or force mistakes. She reads the pick-and-roll well and consistently makes the right decision. She is a high-level three-point shooter who knocks down catch-and-shoot opportunities in rhythm and also has a tight handle that allows her to create space and stay effective off the dribble.

Lily has been widely known to be one of the best perimeter defenders in her class and that’s still true. The sophomore raised her scoring prowess to new levels this season, but her defense was what helped propel that. Davis’ combination of agility, open court burst, the ability to turn her hips and stay connected plus her pestering attitude make her a menacing defender that’s going to give even the best guards some trouble.

It’s not often young players raise their level of play late into the season, particularly in the post season. However, Davis has done just that. She’s already a feared 2-way impactor with natural ability getting to the rim, but Lily is also connecting on more jump shots taken from deep. On top of that, Davis has become more efficient from the field with more shots taken. Lily’s stock is continuing to soar.

Lily closed the regular season playing at a high level and carried that momentum into the postseason conversation. She shoots the ball with confidence, creating space off the dribble on the perimeter to rise up and knock down jumpers. Lily pairs that scoring ability with a tight handle and impressive quickness, allowing her to beat defenders off the bounce and get into the paint where she finishes well with either hand. She also mixes in floaters to score over taller defenders and uses that same speed to turn transition opportunities into easy points. Defensively, Lily anticipates passing lanes well and uses active hands to generate steals that spark fast breaks.

Lily has been considered one of the leading points in her class. Early into the season Davis is looking quite pleasant. She’s stepped into more responsibility and is shining doing so. Her athleticism plus stifling defense has laid the groundwork for her to be successful, but Lily is seeming even more polished from last time watching her. She recently dropped 22 points at the Nickerson Tournament vs WMA. Her performance in that game showed her dynamic ability and overall growth as a scorer. Davis has been nothing short of compelling this year; expect to see her forward this gained momentum into 2026.

Lily is off to a hot start, averaging nearly 16 points per game and consistently putting pressure on defenses. She is extremely decisive with the ball, often making an immediate move off the catch to get past defenders. A crafty finisher in the paint, she also stretches the floor with her three-point shooting, needing very little space to get her shot off and knock it down.

Lily wasted no time making an impact, scoring within seconds of her team’s opening scrimmage. As a strong floor general, she shows impressive instincts, knowing exactly when to take her own shot and when to create opportunities for her teammates. She’s both strong and quick with the ball, a combination that makes her extremely difficult to stay in front of. In the paint, she demonstrates great footwork and balance.

Lily is a top-tier point guard who consistently gets into the paint with purpose. Her combination of speed, length, and control allows her to attack downhill, creates angles, and finishes efficiently. She thrives in half-court sets or in transition, her pace and ball control making her strong. On defense, she has quick hands, smart reads, and puts great defensive pressure on opponents. When Lily locks in, she becomes a difference-maker on both ends.

Lil Davis (2028) | 5’8 PG | Tabor
A top tier point guard that gets deep paint touches easily. Not only is she fast with the ball in her hands, but she’s also long, so Lily doesn’t require excessive dribbles to get to her destination. Her upbeat pace along with excellent ball control keep her flourishing in halfcourt play or in transition. The defense has yet to be mentioned either. She can be a ball-hawker and an extreme pest for guards loose with their handle. The stifling pressure she brings can be highly influential within a game.
