She knocked down a corner 3 in regulation and took her game up a notch in Overtime, scoring a back cut catch and finish. Lily chased down a ball going out of bounds to give her team another offensive possession and buried two crucial free throws to seal the victory (MOI, Undecided).

Smieska is a terrific talent that deserves a lot of praise for her game. She played with a ton of energy over the weekend and brought that relentlessness to both ends of the floor. Smieska pushed the pace and kept the game fast. She did an excellent job of getting downhill and putting the defense on their heels.

Lily is one of the best slashers in her class – and she’s improved her offensive game this season by knocking down mid-range and outside shots.  Other teams have a hard time guarding her.  Defensively, Lily can read offenses and always seems to find herself in passing lanes for steals.  Lily is an unselfish player and person! – Coach DeRose
