Sizemore has strung together an impressive couple of years at the high school level and on the travel scene during AAU season. Ever since Sizemore was younger, she has had the “It factor”. She has always been extremely coordinated while attacking and running her team’s systems on offense while being very good at locking down her matchup defensively in the full court. The Lady Lightning will be in Ohio this weekend looking to make their mark during this First Live Period. I’m not sure who will be in attendance to see this group but they have some college level prospects so I’m sure there will be a crowd that gathers to watch them compete at some point throughout this weekend. As for Sizemore, she is legit and she is going to be legit when she gets to the next level as well, wherever that may be.

Sizemore is a handful to deal with if you’re having to guard her, and when you have a skillset that’s not limited to your size, it’s tough to scout, as well as to defend. She has strong body control. She has no issue dealing with bigger players when she gets into the paint. She’s more deceptive than she is crafty, but I chalk that up to her knowing that she can get things done on her first step.

Sizemore has been one of the best scoring guards in her class for quite some time, and this year has been no different. Off the dribble, off the catch, or simply within the flow, she can get a bucket. Her ball handling is more deceptive than it is quick; she uses her head and her eyes to get where she needs to go, while rarely losing control.

When it comes to dominating the high school game, Lilyan has been doing that since her freshman season. She is a crafty and aggressive scorer who can get it going at any time. Most importantly, she helps win games for her program, which could definitely lead to some all-state votes. Another big season is ahead for her. (1A)

Sizemore is a guard who can put up high numbers across the board, and once she gets going, there’s not much you can do as a unit to stop her. She can shoot from all angles, she can switch into a playmaking role, and she can be a strong defender on the opposite side as well.

Really looking forward to seeing Sizemore compete this summer on the EYBL circuit. She has been a terror for her opponents in her area. The consistency and overall growth in her game cant be overlooked. The summer will be a true test as the competition gets bigger and stronger.

If you’ve been keeping up with Sizemore over the past two years, then you know she could easily throw her hat in as one of the top guards in this sophomore class. However, her size might limit the offers that come through. But if she finds her way onto a D2 program, Sizemore could be a name etched into the record books. She has everything you need out of a high-energy guard: playmaker, scorer, and a defensive mindset.

Lots of energy and a high motor. Sizemore is a high scoring type of guard, and most of it she creates on her own. She can get into the paint and make things happen, as well as show the confidence to be a threat from the outside. One of the top 25 players in this class.

Lilyan Sizemore is someone that I highlighted prior to this event as someone to keep an eye out for and to no surprise, Sizemore did a great job of standing out as one of the best guards throughout the entire camp. Which is pretty impressive considering that Sizemore is one of the younger prospects and she still did a great job against already college committed athletes. Sizemore has a bright future to say the least. She is going to be a D2, borderline D1 prospect by the time her high school career comes to a close and that’s awesome to see because she works restlessly at her craft. As long as she continues to stay locked in down the line, she is going to thrive, no matter the exact situation.
