Richardson can play both on the perimeter and on the interior on defense. In her junior season, she showed she was more than capable of doing that. She had multiple games with three or more blocks and multiple games with three or more steals. Her speed paired with solid height on the wing, as well as overall IQ, plays into her ability to do the following.

Richardason is also a wing player who can grab a high amount of rebounds in games.

One of the main skills that Richardson has that makes her such a good SG is her rebounding ability. Every time she steps on the court, a double-double is a possibility for Richardson.

She is also an above-average block threat at the SG position. In a game against Hendersonville High School last season, she had four blocks. She got a couple of those blocks from great help defense. Richardson rotated off of her defender on the perimeter to a player driving in the paint, caught them off guard, and blocked their shot.
