Bain was a constant at the rim on defense, forcing quite a few misses by playing tall and strong. Knows positioning and was an amazing rim deterrent throughout the game. She kept battling even when poked in the eye in the first half and having to deal with physical play. Her teammates found her for a go ahead score in the fourth that looked like it would be the difference. But when the game went to overtime, they went right back to her. Back to back times she got deep position and scored both times. Added a free throw later for good measure to help secure the victory for the Cowgirls.

Bain helped lead Kiowa to a Class B State Tournament appearance last year with a 24-9 record. But a quarterfinals exit will have her motivated to help extend her team’s potential OKC stay come March. With soft hands and touch, along with good vision Bain is a handful on the low block. Once she gets deep position, it’s nearly automatic. Her hudl highlights from last year also indicate that she has put in work and improved her shooting touch out to the three point line. On defense, Bain had a good understanding of how to play tall and strong, without fouling thanks to good verticality principles and quick hands.

Maccie Bain Maccie Bain 6'1" | C Kiowa | 2026 State OK is a 6’1″ post player known for her great hands and passing ability. She is skilled with her back to the basket, able to shoot the mid-range shot and occasionally hit the outside jumper. She also excels on defense, protecting the rim and grabbing rebounds. Bain’s combination of size, skill and defensive ability make her a valuable asset to any team. She can contribute on both ends of the court and her ability to pass and shoot from the post make her a difficult matchup for opposing teams.
