Maci is another player that just quietly goes about her business and produces for her team. She’s a versatile defender that can guard multiple positions and on offense she produces without being the first scoring option. Another area where she quietly is very efficient is rebounding. She rebounds as if she is much taller than she is.

The senior Hess continued to look like she is poised for a breakout season. Now that she is getting more shot opportunities, opponents are beginning to see what she could do. She shot it from all three levels and made her presence felt on defense.

Maci has been a Swiss army knife type of player for the Pumas since being there. This upcoming season she will bring her normal stout defense, rebounding, and passing to the table. What will be different is that she will be relied upon to carry more of a scoring load which I’m confident that she will be able to.

The rising senior had a great month in June. Due to recent injuries, she’s been asked to do more on the court and she has produced. Her recruiting has picked up including a recent offer from Cornell University, an Ivy League school.

Maci is a lefty wing that loves to attack the basket. She can absorb the contact and finish strong. She also has the ability to hit the mid-range jump shot with consistency. She rarely takes bad shots and is a good passer. Hess also rebounds very well from her wing position.
