Castle was one of the most consistent and productive players to compete Sunday at The Expo. She was explosive on the offensive end, getting downhill and finishing around the basket with an impressive array of moves. Give her space and she could knock it down from the outside. Crowd her and she was going right by you. Once Castle got rolling, there wasn’t much the defense could do to keep her from getting where she wanted. She brought that same energy defensively, flying around blocking shots, picking up steals and just being a disruptive presence. What stood out was how consistently she impacted the game on both ends throughout the day. Castle was extremely fun to watch and put together one of the better performances I saw at The Expo. The event may have been free to watch, but Castle was worth the price of admission.

Pictured above, Castle had an outstanding day, leading her team with relentless effort. She opened with a big three-pointer and followed that with a crafty step-through finish, setting the tone for an upset of a loaded Team 6. Macy’s motor never stops – she pressures the ball, forces turnovers, and creates extra possessions. A hard-nosed defender and fearless competitor, Castle’s energy makes her a difference-maker every day, including Sunday.

Castle loves to shoot the rock from beyond the arc, and she should as well as she shoots it. Macy has a lighting quick release and will let it fly from anywhere with great success. She’s no one-trick pony, either, as she can also put the ball on the deck and get into the paint where she is a crafty playmaker whether it’s for herself or a teammate. There was a sequence where she knocked down a 3, on the ensuing defensive possession she blocked a shot which led to a transition bucket. On the very next offensive possession Castle knocked down another 3. In a 20-second span she accounted for 8 straight points. I’ll take that kind of production seven out of seven days and twice on Sunday!
