Macy stepped up in a major way in a hard-fought matchup against Pulaski County last week, pouring in a team-high 26 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and shooting an efficient 71% from the field. She followed that performance with 16 points in a lopsided win over Casey County, where she also secured her 500th career rebound.

Macy is a multi-sport standout at Rockcastle County who made a major impact on the hardwood this past season. She averaged 16.6 points per game and led the Lady Rockets in rebounding with 7.2 boards, playing a key role in their 25-win season, district title, and regional championship game appearance. A versatile guard/wing, Macy has a nice blend of size, length, and athleticism that allows her to contribute on both ends. She’s an efficient mid-range and three-point shooter, finishes well through contact, battles on the boards, and has excellent timing as a shot-blocker. Macy also brings leadership and a competitive edge to the floor.

Spivey is a big guard at 5’11 and averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds this season for Rockcastle. Macy is a good shooter but can also attack off the bounce or is comfortable posting up smaller guards when the opportunity comes. With her size, Spivey is able to rise up and shoot over smaller defenders as well. Definitely a player to track this summer.

This is a standout who we vividly remember from last season’s Triumph Region Finals. Richmond Heat’s teams collectively had impressive showings last year in Spartanburg and they are hoping to duplicate that this time. This was the same Macy Spivey that last year scored 20 of the team’s 22 points in a Richmond Heat 2026 win over Lady Empact 2026. The margin of victory was 22-21 and it set her AAU team up for a berth in the 14U finals against eventual champion Greenwood Storm 2026. When basketball is not her primary focus, one can catch Spivey on the softball diamond.

Macy makes the climb up from 40th to 20th in this update after a stellar season. Spivey is a slasher who excels at getting into the paint and finishing or kicking out to teammates. At 5’11, Spivey has great positional size and will be able to raise up over smaller defenders and make shots.

Macy is another player whose future looks good. A big guard who is comfortable attacking the rim but will also shoot a three when open, Spivey is a high IQ guard who knows how to pick her spots to attack. With her size and length, Macy has the potential to switch across multiple positions on defense and be a problem for opposing teams to gameplan for.
