She handles defensive pressure well, shoots the three confidently even with a light contest, and has terrific instincts defensively. Maddy consistently comes up with back-tap steals, rotates well in help defense, and always seems to be in the right place to force turnovers.

Maddy thrives off her ability to change pace with the ball, keeping defenders off balance as she attacks the basket. She’s especially effective in the mid-range, where she can stop on a dime and rise up for her shot. Around the rim, she’s a crafty finisher who uses her body well to absorb contact and still convert, even against taller defenders.
