Notable Performers in Chicago

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2026 AAU season is in the books, and there were plenty of players from our state who had impressive weekends in Chicago. Today, we will look at some of the players from Wisconsin who impressed me in the time I saw them play at Nike's Tournament of Champions. After that, I will take a quick breather and debrief about the AAU season sometime in August. Kratky has the size to play around the basket against anyone and made some plays around the basket on the defensive end. She blocked some shots and had an impact block to seal the game for her team at the event. Volpe is a confident player who can space the floor well beyond the high school three-point line. Over her time in high school, she has become more confident with the ball in her hands and has attacked the basket more as she's grown as a player. Reinhard has a knack for getting to the basket and finishing around the basket. She controls the ball well under pressure and can score in the paint with either hand. She also sets the tempo for her team's offense and can force defenders to bend to keep her out of the paint. Peterson has a smooth style and can create space from her defender without dribbling. She has a stoic look when she's playing, but you can tell she is one of the most competitive players you'll find anywhere in the state.
