Madison Brouwer Madison Brouwer 6'0" | PF Sibley-Ocheyedan | 2023 State IA is closing out her high school career and ending it off on a high note, no matter how this weeks plays out for her squad. Brouwer has been the dominate force around the rim for the General this season on the way to leading them to state by averaging 19 PPG, 11 RPG while also recording 78 assists and 45 steals. All solid numbers that have helped this group get to where they currently are now. I’m excited to see this game. The Regals lack an inside presence but that hasn’t stopped them up until this point. This game is going to come down to how Brouwer’s coaches use her, along with her ability to find an opponent teammate out of the post. If she can do those two things, finish when she gets a good look, and her teammates knock down their shots then the Generals will move on but if they let the front court of the Regina run freely and aren’t efficient, it could be a unfavorable outcome for Madison and Sibley High School.

Madison Brouwer Madison Brouwer 6'0" | PF Sibley-Ocheyedan | 2023 State IA was the “Swiss army knife” for her Sibley-Ocheyedan High School team last year and will be once again this winter for her senior season. Brouwer, who is a dynamic 6’0 combo guard, averaged 19 PPG, 9.3 RPG, and 3 APG while leading her team to an overall 18-6 record, 14-4 in conference. She has been working hard this offseason, preparing to take her team to the state playoffs when it’s all said and done at the end of this year. Brouwer is an impressive player with the ability to pull up for a jumper or get all the way to the hoop with her height, length, and speed. She possesses a fundamental pump fake, one dribble, pull up jumper from right inside the arc while also having a good dribble, making it possible for her to put the ball on the floor and finish. When she has a smaller match up guarding her she has the ability to post up and score going over either shoulder with ease. Going forward she will strive to have a great year while propelling her team along the way. By the end of the season I’m sure all eyes will be on Madison and where she can take this program one last time.

Madison Brouwer Madison Brouwer 6'0" | PF Sibley-Ocheyedan | 2023 State IA played aggressively and off of two feet on the way to averaging 19.0 PPG on 51.4% shooting, 9.2 RPG, and 3.0 APG last season. The combo forward stretches the floor for the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals, attacking weaker defenders and getting to the line at will. Brouwer averaged 6.1 free throw attempts per game as a junior, reflecting how physical she is. The 1000 point varsity scorer will guide the Generals this winter along with returning their other 4 varsity starters from a year ago, in attempts to have a successful season once again. If they can pick up from where they left off last year, they will be in good shape.
