During her senior season, she became the Lady Dragons’ all-time leading scorer and rebounder while earning 8th Region Player of the Year honors and recognition as a Kentucky Miss Basketball candidate. Young will continue her athletic and academic career at Illinois State University, joining a program with a rich tradition that includes six NCAA Tournament appearances and 12 Missouri Valley Conference championships.

Madison led South Oldham in both scoring (18.2 PPG) and rebounding (8.5 RPG) as a junior, then played at a high level during the AAU season for Kentucky Premier 17U on the EYBL Circuit. Along the way, she racked up several Division I offers before calling Illinois State University home. Madison will be a shoo-in for 8th Region Player of the Year and a strong candidate for Kentucky Miss Basketball.

Madison flexed her muscle against North Bullitt on Thursday, finishing with 23 points and ripped away a team-high 12 rebounds in a close won 68-66.

Madison led South Oldham to a 23-7 season and fell one game short of a state tournament appearance. She averaged a team-leading 18.7 PPG along with 9.4 RPG. Madison played very well on the EYBL circuit this summer and already holds 4 D1 offers.

Madison is super athletic and she used it well to elevate over defenders for short pull-up jumpers in the lane. She has picture perfect footwork on the block and displayed incredible strength when scoring through contact inside. I was also impressed with her handles and ability to put the ball on the floor and beat defenders off the dribble.
