About Madisyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style of play is unselfish, competitive mindset, and can impact the game in multiple ways. I can score when needed by attacking the goal using the ability to read my defenders to create scoring opportunities. I make smart decisions on finding the best open players on my team and reading the defense. I can play defense good, read the court, communicate and help my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am competitive, coachable, and I’m also positive. I’m always working to improve and be the best teammate. I play with confidence and stay calm under pressure.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received school awards. I am also in the organization NHS which is National Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

The skills I have developed are teamwork and leadership. Teamwork is key in basketball success. Teamwork helps the team succeed together. Leadership is the most crucial part of success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I had to go through was tearing my ACL at the start of my freshman year in high school. That was really tough for me because I went through a lot. I was mentally and physically challenged and that injury showed me that I can do anything possible.

Hill, on offense, mainly operates out of the wing. From there, she often waits for enough space to shoot her high-level perimeter jumper. This is the main weapon of her offensive game, but there are other layers. She can dribble into the arc and get to the elbow for a midrange jumper. Or she can even attack the basket for a postup bucket or close-range jumper.

Hill is also an extremely unselfish player. She sees the floor well, and if a teammate is open, she can snap a pass over to them immediately upon receiving the ball. Her all-around game has the capability of pushing her up the Prep Girls Hoops Rankings in the future.
