Mak made a lot of shots from three over the weekend and several of the ones I saw were not even close to the line she was so far back. Her constant motion to get open and then set up when she knew the ball was coming was equally impressive as the elevation she gets on her shots and the consistency she has in her form. In high school ball she has the basketball in her hands the majority of the game for Gilmer, at Peach Games she played off the ball the majority of the time I watched her team play and looked comfortable and confident doing so. She is not allowed the time or space to get many catch and shoot shots from behind the line with almost every defense geared to stop her. With a very talented Wood Elite team surrounding her teams are not able to put her at the top of the scouting report so she had a lot more freedom to operate. She was very efficient when she shot the ball and did not take one ill advised or bad shot that I saw in multiple games. Mak is a very good 2029 prospect that I definitely have my eye on.

Always is ready to shoot. Hunts her offense immediately off the catch with deep range. Plays with a lot of emotion, celebrating each made three. Has a high arcing shot. Tough nosed with a strong frame for an incoming freshman. Already drawing college interest.

Makenna was the most polished class of 2029 hooper I saw in Georgia this weekend. Her IQ and maturity really stood out as she played against girls that were three years older than her in some cases. She saw the floor well & made some really accurate and smart passes. Her shooting was also accurate from deep or mid-range with her pull-up game. Mak has to be one of the best players in GA in her class.

Makenna may have been the most polished class of 2029 player I saw at the PGH Peach Games. She played with a sort of swagger and confidence that didn’t make her look like she was playing 17U ball as an 8th grader. Mak shot it well from long range, hit some nice pull-up jumpers, and had a sweet stepback move in her bag. Her passing ability was impressive with her vision to see the entire floor and push the ball ahead with a pass rather than using unnecessary dribbles.
