Makenna Miller Makenna Miller 5'6" | SG Anselmo-Merna | 2025 NE of Anselmo-Merna High School competes at the SG position but she records a large amount of assists per contest. This might be because she can play off her scoring ability but a lot of the time it’s seems to be because she makes a big play on defense and that leads into an assist in transition. Like I just mentioned, she does possess the ability to score at a thorough rate throughout a ball game but that’s not her only ability. She is really a heart beat and source of energy for her entire team. When she gets fired up, she wears her emotions on her sleeve and that helps the others around her play to their fullest capabilities.

Throughout the past three seasons, Makenna Miller of Anselmo-Merna High School has averaged some impressive numbers over her 70 games played. Walking into her Senior season, Miller has a career stat line of 8.5 PPG, 2.1 APG, 4.5 RGP, and 3.3 SPG in her efforts. All of these numbers make a difference throughout her team’s seasons but she really stands out on the defensive end from what I’ve witnessed. This is someone that competes at the Shooting Guard position and she is not afraid to mix it up with anyone matching up across from her. Her quick feet and fast hands have led to a lot of success in the takeaways category thus far and I expect that to continue for Miller’s grand finale with her Coyotes program this Winter.

I have yet to see Makenna Miller compete live but from afar it’s obvious that she brings a confident scoring ability to the court. Miller is someone that shot a high percentage from the field last season at 36%, while taking over 300 total attempts from the field throughout the year. Not only did Miller put up respectable scoring numbers, she also registered near 5 SPG, putting her in rare company throughout the state as a whole. This number speaks not only to her fast feet and act from getting tips/deflections but also because of her hardwood and situational awareness. She will lace up one more time for her Senior season this next few six months so it’ll be intriguing to see what she can put together.

Makenna Miller Makenna Miller 5'6" | SG Anselmo-Merna | 2025 NE has active hands, quick feet, good coordination, and an act for being in the right place at the right time, usually leading to a steal and layup in transition. On Tuesday night, Anselmo-Merna High School won their contest against Twin Loup by a final of 66-31. In this contest, the player that stood out the most between both teams BY FAR was Makenna Miller Makenna Miller 5'6" | SG Anselmo-Merna | 2025 NE . Miller ended the game with 24 Points, 9 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 5 Steals, and 2 Blocks. As you can tell, Miller is ACTIVE on both sides the floor because of her high motor. This past week was the first time that I’ve seen her compete and she was impressive to say the least with this stat line. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on her and this group moving forward. From what I’ve seen, they play as one-unit and produce at a higher rate than most so hopefully they can win a few more contests this regular season.
