Maleah put her athleticism and playmaking abilities on display at the Freshman Showcase. She used a quick crossover to beat her defender to the basket and earn a trip to the free-throw line. Maleah converted a tough floater off the dribble and scored a layup off two feet. She drove into the lane, maintained her balance, created the space she needed with a pivot, and finished the contested shot off the glass. Maleah secured rebounds, blocked a shot on defense, and avoided traps in the backcourt by changing hands with her eyes up. She showed her outside range by draining a smooth triple from the wing and earned recognition as a Top Performer.

Maleah turned some heads on our PGH Circuit, and she did so again with Team 6 at the Freshman Showcase. Maleah’s combination of quick ball-handling, athleticism, and compact strength makes it very challenging for defenders to keep her from getting to the rim. Maleah used effective footwork to score contested finishes around the basket, chased down rebounds, pushed the ball in transition, shot the ball confidently from three, and worked hard defensively. She’s going to be a great addition to a talented Wayne Memorial squad this winter.

Maleah is a physically gifted, athletic wing who brings strength and explosiveness to the floor. Once she puts the ball on the deck and attacks downhill, she’s hard to contain, often finishing through contact with ease. On the defensive end, she’s a constant problem—using her physicality and quickness to force turnovers and crash the boards with intensity. She’s exactly the kind of impact player we’d love to see compete at the PGH Freshman Showcase.
