Merritt applied constant pressure on the ball, jumped passing lanes, and did a strong job closing out and contesting shooters. She was an unsung hero whose presence was noticeable throughout the game. Her athletic abilities will be on display and her ability to cut back door, take it to the rim, and shoot in the midrange game. Merritt excels on the defensive end with athleticism. quickness, and a competitive attitude. She puts good pressure on the ball and has the ability to keep the opponent from getting by her.

Merritt is fast and can get down the court in a hurry.  She plays on both ends of the court.  Offensively, she showcased a nice three-point stroke, connecting on a few threes from the corner. Merritt does not hesitate to take it to the rim and she has the craftiness to get to the rim with speed, crossovers, and euros. Defensively, she had the “block of the day, “ when she took a shot out of the air on a  breakaway fast break. Merritt is a talent and her athleticism jumps off the page.
