Riggins showcased confident ball-handling and shooting range, connecting on a three from the top of the key with clean form and soft touch. She played with confidence and had a flair for the dramatic, excelling in clutch moments of the game. Her play of the game came in transition — pushing the fast break, using a hesitation without picking up her dribble, attacking the middle of the paint, going back to the left-hand dribble, and finishing with a smooth left-handed layup that nearly brought the crowd down. Beyond the highlights, Riggins controlled the pace and tempo and operated as a true floor general all game before fouling out. She would have been a strong MVP candidate if not for a standout performance by her teammate.

At the Women in Sports Day, Riggins showcased her ball handling and her ability to get into the teeth of the defense and shoot the midrange. Riggins made good decisions on the floor and displayed a high basketball IQ when on the floor.

Few guards on the First Coast boosted their stock this fall like Aniyah Riggins. Her Fall League performance was a showcase of polish, poise, improvement, and basketball IQ. Higgins’s skill was impressive. She operated confidently out of the triple-threat, displayed tight handles, displayed a quick step to the rim, and showcased her smooth jumper that stayed consistent from deep. Her ability to read the floor stood out and showed that whatever pressure she faces this year, she will be able to read the floor and make good decisions. Riggins is poised to carry her performance straight into the winter season.

Riggins showed the ability to challenge defenders off the dribble and step into a smooth jumper with balance. She knocked down a few long perimeter jumpers and got to the goal when defenders closed out too fast. Riggins will likely be the number one scoring option on Jackson this upcoming season. She is poised for a breakout this upcoming season.

She is a fierce competitor on the floor and really attacks the rim hard. She penetrated the zone several times at UNF Team Camp and converted on a layup, a floater, and a fade away jumper. She is a tough high motor player to defend and she will be one to keep an eye on.
