About Malia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

- Fast but under control - Aggressive - Makes great decision with the ball - Scorers mentality - Makes plays for others - Does whatever it takes to win

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very laid back when I am off the court, but when I get back on the court I am tenacious.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was named captain during my freshman and sophomore year of varsity which showed my leadership. It taught me to step up in tough times and to not be scared of any challenge but to embrace it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I faced was the passing of my grandmother in January. She was my best friend and someone I could really count on. After all of this I still played and harder than ever. Following this, I sprained my ankle which caused me to be put into a walking boot for about three weeks to a month. None of this stopped me from being the best player I could be.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a type of college that has a great coach with a good coaching style and a school with a nice campus.
