There is going to be some mixing it up when battling for the rebound. There will be physical contact when a player tries to post up on the blocks. Burkett p[lays with an edge on the floor. She communicates well but loves the physical contact. She sets the tone when she comes into the game and is the type of player who causes teammates to follow.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL continues to show signs of a player who can make major contributions. Once again she filled in for Terrell McCoy Terrell McCoy 6'4" | PF Bolles | 2026 State FL and her team didn’t miss a beat. Burkett brings experience and is always steady on both ends of the floor. She communicates well and can score in the paint when the pass comes her way. Burkett also is a good defender who can defend on the perimeter as well as in the paint against taller power forwards and centers.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL continues to be a beyond the scoreboard contributor. This past week the young forward excelled in th pick and roll game and got several buckets off of the roll. Burkett stepped out and made the midrange shot and showed great patience and communication when on the floor. Burkett is just a Sophomore and her intangibles are way beyond the scoreboard and stat sheet.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL came off a deep playoff run last season as a freshman, where she showcased hustle and vocal leadership. She has continued to display those qualities in Fall League play, competing physically through contact and making an impact on both ends of the floor. With an expanded role this season, she will be a major factor in helping Bolles fight for a return to the 3A state championship. With a long season ahead, Burkett has a strong opportunity to earn a spot in the Top 50 in the next rankings.

She battled for position, finished through contact, and gave Bolles a physical presence down low. Her ability to convert tough buckets helped steady the offense when the game tightened. Her intensity was at playoff level and throughout this summer the young power forward showed no signs of letting up.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL finds herself as the veteran enforcer down low for the Bulldogs.  The Dogs  will be a contender with their returning skill players,  and the play of Burkett and the bigs could determine the destiny of this final 4 team from Last season.  Burkett brings defensive intensity and various intangibles to the table.   Burkett has  motor that doesn’t stop, she  communicates well on the  floor,  and she  holds everyone accountable. Burkett can score the ball on the inside and and she is looking to expand her offensive contributions and overall game.  That starts this week at the FABC.  She is looking to elevate her status without a breakout performance. 

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL has a State Championship appearance under her belt and she did some good things every time I saw her on the floor. Burkett performed well in the regular season and played a big role as Bolles navigated through the distric and regional playoffs. Burkett is a very good communicator on the floor and she barks out assignments to all of her teammates, including he older teammates. A Freshman holding her teammates accountable is special. That’s an intangible you can’t teach. She brings physicality, confidence and grit to the table. She will be a key player for the Bulldogs this upcoming season.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL played well as a Freshman and carried that solid play all the way to the State playoffs. Burkett is a physical young player who loves to grind on the court and plays with an edge on both ends of the floor. Burkett can rebound the ball and she has the ability to do so on both sides of the ball. Burkett communicates well and she makes sure her teammates are in the right place on the court. She does a great job on pick and roll and has the ability to score in the paint.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL caught our eye in the preseason and iot was said then that she could be an important piece in Bolle’s playoff run. She was the backup center and gained a lot of experience- all the way to the State Championship game. Burkett gained experience and showed mental strength in the process. Her ability to communicate was very good and she was always clear on her assignment. She rebounded well, played good defense, and scored when given the opportunity.

Mamie Burkett Mamie Burkett 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2028 State FL ( M.B) is a name you will hear a lot going forward. Burkett got more minutes in the Finals, and it’s the little things that stand out. The communication on the floor is very good, and she is not afraid to tell an older player where to go (teammate or opponent). Burkett has good strength and physicality and can rebound the ball. She was locked up one on one with two of the best forwards in the State, and it just looked like another day to “M.B” Burkett. She represented the 2028 class well in the State playoffs.
