Having perhaps the best long term potential in the state in 2024, Mariah can be a mismatch nightmare for opponents. She can score from three or take opposing defenders to the block. Jacksonville landed a steal with her commitment.

Knight was originally committed to IPFW but chose to decommit in the fall. Since then, Mariah has claimed a new offer from Jacksonville.

Mariah is a mismatch problem for opposing teams thanks to her size and versatility. Knight’s bread and butter is scoring on the block but she can also face up and put the ball on the floor or shoot with confidence from the midrange.

Knight was a player that continuously stood out to me all season long. She is so solid on both ends of the floor and she has the ability to stretch the defense all the way out to the perimeter. Playing with talented guards who can put the ball in the basket themselves only makes her play more impressive. Her teammate,

Knight has impressed me every single time I’ve seen her play. She is just so efficient on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she moves her feet well and is a solid shot blocker. If she can’t block a shot, she typically will at least be able to alter it. Offensively, she can finish tough shots at the rim, including through contact. However, she can also step out and knock down shots, including from 3, or she can make strong drives to the hoop. Knight is also a great passer and recognizes when to kick the ball out to her teammates. This season, she averaged 15.1 PPG and 9.4 RPG while shooting 54% overall and 37.3% from deep.

is such a valuable player for the Centurions. She is their leading rebounder and a critical part of their defense as she is the rim protector. She’s nearly averaging a double-double at 15.5 PPG and 9.3 RPG, and she’s shooting 56% overall (40% from 3). Knight is a difference maker for CAL, but they will need all 5 players on the floor to show up big as they look to make a deep run in the 7th Region Tournament.Access all of Prep Girls Hoops
