Mariyah is another nice prospect in a deep and talented Freshman class for the Eagles of John Adams. She has broad shoulders, long arms & legs, and she is a traditional post willing to be physical and operate on the interior. She has given fans flashes of what the future can hold, and as she continues to add some polish and finesse to her game, look for her to be a nice mid-post face-up player as well. in the meantime, she does a really nice job of playing “big” and establishing a presence around the block at both ends of the floor, plus she clogs the lane defensively and forces a lot of altered shots.
