The Gators of 5A Goose Creek will be a team to watch these next several seasons. Norwood was the only eighth grader on last season’s Gators team. One can place Norwood in a team’s lineup in the frontcourt at the four or three or as a wing. Her travel career has included a stint wearing the uniform of Lowcountry Premier. Her height certainly adds depth to the Gators’ frontcourt. Last season’s Goose Creek assembling earned a berth to the Lower State championship game. She previously played her high school ball at Marrington MS before ascending to high school varsity status. 

Norwood has played at the middle school level at Marrington M.S. which means she likely has 5A Division 2 Goose Creek in her future. She has also sported the uniform of Lowcountry Premier. As a 5-foot-10 four forward, one would expect that height to give her a noteworthy advantage over her peers. This can particularly be the case with how efficient she can be on the offensive end of the floor. One attribute of Norwood’s that separates her from a number of her peers is the ability to effectively utilize her left hand. Winning basketball is typically a constant with the Gators and that is likely to continue as Norwood’s development takes her through the high school ranks.
