Dates’ name has become well-known both inside and outside Palmetto State basketball circles. After leading her Goose Creek assembling to a 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game last season, Dates and her Gators are returning for more in 2026-27. She is coming off an AAU season where she ran with FBC United on the grassroots circuit – and landed an offer from a number of Power Four schools – including South Carolina. Dates competed in all 28 of Goose Creek’s games last season and averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.8 assists per matchup. As the 5A classification returns sans divisions, Dates has the Gators in a prime spot to potentially be the final team standing in said classification.

Considering the national profile Dates has established, rarely does a week go by without her landing at least one Division I or Power Four offer. The latest offer that the FBC United product landed actually occurred close to home as Dates secured an in-state get courtesy of the College of Charleston. Dates, who recently earned the top spot in Prep Girls Hoops’ South Carolina 2029 rankings, is entering a season with Goose Creek where the Gators will be a pick among many a Palmetto State hoops pundit to be the last 5A team standing. Dates averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.8 assists last season en route to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game.

It was another week of Power Four conference offers for the sophomore star guard from 5A Goose Creek. The two latest schools to extend offers in Dates’ direction were Texas A&M and Michigan State. Dates recently took part in an A1 Hoops Fall League event at Brookland-Cayce and also received an invite to the Wooten 150 camp. The FBC United name is looking ahead to the 2026-27 season with the Gators following a 2025-26 where she led Goose Creek to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. Dates averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.8 assists per game last season.

At this point, Dates needs no introduction given her national profile. The much-ballyhooed FBC United product had arguably the most successful grassroots season of any Palmetto State prospect and has been swimming in Power 4 offers – including her latest one from Indiana as well as another courtesy of South Carolina. With her ability to put crooked numbers on a scoreboard, she attracts plenty of attention from defenses. Defensively, she combines height with length and is an elite scorer on the offensive end. After a 2025-26 season where she averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.8 assists per contest last season, Dates and her Goose Creek team have state championship aspirations – and expectations – in 2026-27.

When all is said and done, it may be easier to list schools in the Power Four that have yet to offer Dates than it will be to list those that have. That list has included perennial powers such as South Carolina, Louisville and Tennessee and Dates managed to add Indiana to that list last week. The latest offer Dates would receive would be courtesy of a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) schools in Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The FBC United We Trust product also recently took part in Overtime Select. Dates played in all 28 contests last season for a Goose Creek team that advanced to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. With Dates returning to Goose Creek for her sophomore season, the Gators will be one of the teams to beat in 5A in the 2026-27 season.

For Dates, it is not merely about the offers she lands but the schools that are offering her. The latest Power Four offers she has fielded has come courtesy of premier national powers in Louisville and Tennessee. When watching Dates play, one can see why many a college coach – including Jeff Walz and Kim Caldwell – wants Dates in one of their uniforms once her high school days are in the books. Dates is coming off a 2026 AAU season with FBC United and is looking ahead to her sophomore campaign with 5A Goose Creek. She led the Gators to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game as a freshman and Goose Creek will once be among the 5A contenders throughout the 2026-27 season.

Dates is continuing to solidify her national profile – and it is resulting in Power Four offers – the latest of which was courtesy of North Carolina. She played up in class on the FBC United 17U team and earned a berth to the Girls UAA Finals at Spooky Nook. A marque prospect that has played at the varsity level since the seventh grade, one can see her positive development in many areas of the game. Dates’ Gators will also be a heavy 5A favorite a year after earning a berth to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. She averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals last season.

Dates is becoming no stranger to landing not only Division I but Power Four offers. She would secure another one over the past week as her latest get was courtesy of North Carolina. Dates spent the weekend in Ohio at the Under Armour finals with her FBC United 17U team that qualified for the GUAA 17U finals. Once the Under Armour session concludes, Dates will likely have the upcoming high school season with 5A Goose Creek on the brains. She averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists for a Gators team that reached the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship and has her team as a favorite to win state in 2026-27.

Speaking of Power Four offers, they are also continuing to flow in Dates’ direction as well. She made headlines with the South Carolina offer she secured following Dawn Staley’s camp last month and she is on the radar of at least two more Power Four schools in Michigan and Florida State. Dates will be entering her fourth season at the varsity level considering she first played as a seventh grader. Her 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals she averaged led Goose Creek to last season’s 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game and she is finishing up the 2026 travel season with FBC United.
