Dates is continuing to solidify her national profile – and it is resulting in Power Four offers – the latest of which was courtesy of North Carolina. She played up in class on the FBC United 17U team and earned a berth to the Girls UAA Finals at Spooky Nook. A marque prospect that has played at the varsity level since the seventh grade, one can see her positive development in many areas of the game. Dates’ Gators will also be a heavy 5A favorite a year after earning a berth to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. She averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals last season. 

Dates is becoming no stranger to landing not only Division I but Power Four offers. She would secure another one over the past week as her latest get was courtesy of North Carolina. Dates spent the weekend in Ohio at the Under Armour finals with her FBC United 17U team that qualified for the GUAA 17U finals. Once the Under Armour session concludes, Dates will likely have the upcoming high school season with 5A Goose Creek on the brains. She averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists for a Gators team that reached the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship and has her team as a favorite to win state in 2026-27. 

Speaking of Power Four offers, they are also continuing to flow in Dates’ direction as well. She made headlines with the South Carolina offer she secured following Dawn Staley’s camp last month and she is on the radar of at least two more Power Four schools in Michigan and Florida State. Dates will be entering her fourth season at the varsity level considering she first played as a seventh grader. Her 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals she averaged led Goose Creek to last season’s 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game and she is finishing up the 2026 travel season with FBC United. 

Fewer players across the Palmetto State have built more of a national profile than Dates who recently added an offer from South Carolina and Dawn Staley to her resume. Her playmaking capabilities were on full display this past weekend in Louisville as her FBC United team was one of the many that were on hand at Run 4 Roses. Not only did Dates depart from Run 4 Roses having played more solid ball, she left with another Division I offer courtesy of Big Ten school Michigan. Dates guided her Goose Creek assembling to last season’s 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game while averaging 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals as a freshman. 

Dates has become one of the most sought-after prospects in the Palmetto State – and the nation. Not only did she depart from South Carolina’s camp with a solid outing, she made headlines when she landed an offer from coach Staley herself. Dates has secured a large number of Division I offers including from Purdue, Auburn, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Florida since the season ended – and what a campaign it was for Goose Creek. Dates led her Gators to a 25-3 record and a berth in the Lower State championship game. She played in all 28 games while averaging 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals per matchup. 

Dates has landed a plethora of Division I offers already, but arguably none bigger than the one she received recently. Her and her 5A Goose Creek team participated in coach Dawn Staley’s team camp at South Carolina and added a Gamecocks offer to her list. Dates is set to resume her travel schedule during July’s live period from July 10-13 in Louisville running with FBC United on the travel circuit. Last season would see Dates lead her Gators to a berth in the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. She averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals as she played in all 28 games last season.

She is a prolific three level scorer, solid defender, rebounder and makes good decisions on the court. Madeline is going to be someone that leaves her mark on the game for many years.

Considering the laundry list of Division I offers Dates has already garnered, many a college coach was on hand to watch Dates and her Goose Creek group match up against defending 4A Upper State champion Westside. Dates displayed plenty of Power Four-level skills to the tune of 15 points. She is taller than many of her peer guards and that helps when looking to corral one’s own rebound in case of a missed attempt. An element of her overall playmaking capabilities includes the ability to locate attacking lanes to the basket, finish at the rim and fall to the floor if necessary to complete a play. 

Dates has plenty of time before worrying about a commitment decision. In the meantime, she can continue to field the collegiate offers. The latest one Dates received was from a Big Ten school – Purdue to be exact. After participating at the Live at LakePoint event in Georgia during last month’s live period, she will return to travel action with FBC United in mid-July in Louisville. This past season, Dates displayed exactly how far Goose Creek can go as she guided the Gators to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship game. She received her first Division I offer from SC State two years ago and has added Clemson, Charleston Southern, Florida, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Auburn and UCF to that list.

Dates’ profile is continuing to rise – and with it, so are the offers. She also had herself a busy week on the recruiting trail as she secured offers from Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, UCF and Auburn. Dates is finishing up an appearance with FBC United at the Rocky Top Rumble in Knoxville. She is playing up in class with the 17U team. Dates completed her freshman campaign last season at 5A Division 2 Goose Creek where she led her Gators to the Lower State championship game. She competed in 28 contests last season and averaged 20 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
