The South Prairie standout had a terrific summer and recently picked up an offer from University of Jamestown. As mentioned in a previous article, I really like how Thad Sankey (head coach) runs his team and how he recruits. Maycie is someone who is athletic enough to play in their tough league and possesses a high basketball IQ for the point guard position.

I really like how Maycie plays. She, along with others in this article, might not get as much attention as they deserve due to how good of a team she plays on. She is a super solid point guard and an excellent defender. She moves really well and does a great job at stopping driving lanes. I like her basketball IQ and her decision making with the ball. She is a quality guard who can play at the next level.

One college coach told me he really likes players who show up and play the game the right way. He likes players who make the right reads, don’t force shots, and play hard defense. He was talking about Maycie. She played really well and is such a steady player on the court. She doesn’t get sped up and can do a little bit of everything, and do it well. She had one coach really excited and I expect more to follow soon.

Maycie is an outstanding guard and does a lot of things to make South Prairie’s offense so hard to guard. She is a great ball handler and can make great reads against opposing defenses. She is a great cutter in the half-court and can make the outside shot. She has good pace with the ball when she uses ball screens.

. She is another guard out there on the floor that can dribble, pass, and shoot. She has a great handle and good change of speed and direction. She is great with her decision making and can knock down the outside shot. She is also a very good defender, always knowing when to get to help-side. South-Prairie is loaded and Maycie is a big time piece to that team.
