of Lincoln North Star High School. Powell is a 5’11 SG with a solid stroke from deep. Its fundamental, it’s uniform every single time she lets it go and her footwork with her balance is always spot on. Powell transferred into this program after her Freshman or Sophomore season and she is ready to show what she can offer. This is a hooper that doesn’t need a lot of space or time to get off a solid shot attempt and once she see’s one go in, it’s tough to slow her down from deep. I’m not sure where Powell will eventually end up but whoever is getting her, is getting someone with some serious game.

as she finishes a bunch of schools around the Midwest. Powell, as of most recent, took a visit to Nebraska Wesleyan to check on their facilities and meet their coaching staff. This is another solid offer for Powell at this time. She is currently fielding close to 10 offers from all different types of schools in the area so it really comes to down which place feels like home the most. This is a high quality SG, that can light the nets on the fire in the blink of an eye. She has shown us this ability for three years now on the Varsity floor and I’m sure we will see that once again this Winter for one final go-around.

We created a piece to start August speaking on some uncommitted prospects out of the 2026 Class. Someone that we mentioned, who was offered shortly after by Doane (NE) was

from Lincoln North Star High School. Powell is a knock-down shooter throughout her career. She can catch and light the nets on first with how well she can shoot the rock from all over. If anyone happens to over-play her, she can also put the ball on the floor and get to a more favorable spot for an offense attempt. Whether that be at the bucket or in the mid-range. There is a lot of promise here. Not everyone is a 6’0 SG so that will definitely help Powell in her recruitment.

is someone that catches the eye. A lengthy SG with coordination, fundamental skill, balance, and an act for putting in the ball in the net from deep beyond the three point line. At Lincoln North Star, it can somewhat be a mystery so I’m not sure who Powell fit into their system but if she gets a chance, she should really feast. Especially when this group has to play against zone defenses. She happens to be still uncommitted but that might not be for long depending on who throw their hat in the ring as it pertains to her recruitment.

is an able and willing shooter from deep, a solid competitor from the Wing position, and someone that won’t take any plays off on the defensive side of the ball. This is all very interesting because of Powell’s move to Lincoln North Star High School this season. The previous two years Powell competed at Malcolm High School but now she is ready to show out LNS. It’s going to be interesting how Powell fits into the bunch as they return most of their roster a year ago. She is someone that doesn’t need the ball for long periods of time to produce and that aspect plays into her favor coming into a new system. If she can find her niche early-on and she is put in positions to play to her strengths, then she could be a valuable asset over the next two years.

of Lincoln North Star High School is one of the most interesting prospect transfers going into this next season. Powell competed as the starting two-guard for Malcolm High School for the past two seasons and now she will be competing with a North Star program that is going to look a lot different from a year ago. North Star loses their starting PG to transfer, but also brings in prospects like Powell, while still having a solid PG in

, you quickly see that they will still be a top team throughout the state for their Class. As for Powell, she is a knock down Shooting Guard, with a ton of upside at 5’11. If she is used in this system in the correct ways, she could EAT this next two years but we will have to wait and see how that plays out.

. Powell is a lengthy SG, who can knock down a number of different shots from deep. She is someone that displays experience and veteran leadership everyone time she takes the floor, even though she is only going into her Junior season of high school ball within this next year. Powell is going to continue to be a constant for this program over her next two years. She is a college level talent and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.

is a player that I have recently featured for a moment because of her stand-out production to start this 2023-2024 season but I wanted to speak on her game a little bit more. Powell is a 5’10 shooting guard that has a flame thrower for an arm from deep. Her mixture of natural length and balanced shooting ability makes for a deadly combination on the high school floor. Throughout her teams first 5 games this season, she is averaging 12.5 PPG on 47% shooting from the field, while shooting 50% from behind the arc. It’s early on in the year but if she continues to produce at this level and her team continues to win, I think it could open the eyes of some potential recruiters out there. When you take into account everything I stated above and combined that with the fact that she is also putting up numbers in other categories each contest, such as rebounds, assists, and blocks, you can start to see why she falls into our #17 spot in this update. Her upside on the court is noticeable to anyone paying attention.
