About McKenzie
Expert Analysis
Charles Foster | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
McKenzie put her full offensive package on display, confidently extending her range beyond the college three-point line while keeping the offense organized. She showed strong command as a lead guard, consistently breaking down defenders off the dribble and creating opportunities for others with timely kick-outs.
Her ability to read the defense and make in-game adjustments stood out, as she picked her spots effectively without forcing the action. With her combination of size, skill set, and composure, McKenzie has the tools to contribute at the next level and fits the mold of a guard capable of running a college offense.

McKenzie turned in a championship performance of 24 points to help Annapolis win the Anne Arundel County championship over a tough South River team. She showed off her range with multiple 3 pointers and got to the basket where she finished and drew fouls.

At first it seemed like McKenzie was disengaged from the game but when she got the ball in her hand things changed. She started to take over and scored eight straight points which included and three pointer and finish with contact for an and one and a steal and finish transition basket. Whatever set off the spark as she blocked a shot turning that into offence. She scored 16 points all in the second half.

One of Anne Arundel County’s top players and a candidate for player of the year. She’s a combo guard that can put points up quickly from all three levels, but she can also run an offense. She is a high IQ player and has a knack for making accurate passes in traffic. She operates well in pick and roll situations.

Mckenzie is one of my favorite players that have shook up the rankings over the winter. She has a good shot and some razzle dazzle in her game. Armed with an explosive first step she should have little trouble affecting the outcome of games and attracting coaches to her court.

McKenzie has a great all around game. She plays fast but under control. She has a really quick first step and nice ball handling. She can shoot from anywhere on the floor and she is a scoring machine that is very hard to stop once she starts rolling. She dropped in at #15 and can look to move up if she can do some of the same things against stiffer competition.

McKenzie showed a good mixture of speed, skill and athleticism on the court. She runs the floors and finished well and was able to repeatedly knock down the three. She scored 22 points in the championship game and 27 in the semi final. She was one of the most impressive players of the day.
