About Meira

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a physical, defense-first playmaker known for my ability to read the game and control the team's tempo. As a disciplined leader, I communicate effectively and provide steady guidance on both offense and defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong confident mindset, family oriented and always looking for new opportunities to learn.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

- PGC Gold Band Award of Leadership - National Junior Honors Society - Young Writers Creativity Award - Certificate of Excellence in City of Columbus Job Readiness Program

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

For two years I have worked for the City of Columbus APPS(Applying Passion and Purpose to Service) program, building leadership traits in a team environment. Through these opportunities I’ve been fortunate to lead and assist multiple initiatives benefiting City of Columbus urban youth.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As an incoming freshman, I was asked to lead a varsity basketball team in a tough central Ohio conference. Through hard work and high-level communication with coaches and teammates, we were able to improve our program record from a previous 3-19 season to an 18-6 CCL division champion and district runners-up.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to attend a university with a diverse student population and an established undergraduate and graduate program in business and marketing.
