Expert Analysis
Akeem Webb | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Miyah was the offensive spark plug, drilling a key three for the first points of the game and attacking the rim hard to earn trips to the line. She grabbed a strong rebound and went coast-to-coast for a finish through contact, then continued to impact the game with her aggressiveness. In the third quarter, she knocked down another three from the corner and put together a huge stretch of strong drives and confident perimeter shooting. She stayed aggressive until the final buzzer, consistently getting downhill, drawing fouls, and knocking down shots from deep. Miyah scored 14 points in the second half alone and finished with 25 points.
Stats: 25 points, 4 rebounds

The other half of the Splash Sisters, Miyah made 56 threes while contributing 4 rebounds per game! The smooth lefty is already committed to IU Southeast, and her steady shooting and consistency will be essential as E-Town pushes for another 17th District championship!

I got to see Miyah Courtney Miyah Courtney 5'8" | CG Elizabethtown | 2026 State KY compete in-person for the first in June at the Cardinal Classic, and in July at the Run4Roses. She impacts the game in so many ways, whether it’s scoring, rebounding, coming away with steals or getting her teammates involved, she can do it all. Miyah averaged 12 points per game last season and I believe she will take a step forward this season.

Miyah is a lot like Downey in the sense that both are struggling a little bit out of the gate this season but their potential is undeniable. Courtney excels at getting to the free throw line and she will only get better at converting And 1 opportunities as she gets stronger and becomes a better finisher through contact.

Courtney is definitely a player to watch for this upcoming season as I have a feeling she’ll be making a lot of noise at her new school. The lefty is a high IQ player who can score at all 3 levels. She has extremely deep range on her outside shot and she can get it off very quickly so she doesn’t need much space to knock them down. She has some great moves to get past her defender as well, so opposing teams really have to respect her ability to drive on top of her ability to shoot the ball. On her drives, she’s shown an ability to consistently finish in crafty ways around the rim. She also does a great job of constantly moving without the ball. Courtney has active hands defensively and can really disrupt an offense as well. She was Bardstown’s leading scorer and 2nd leading rebounder last season and I’d expect nothing less at Elizabethtown this upcoming season.

Courtney is the player I’ve seen the least on this list, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t heard a lot about her and her potential. It is obvious she grew up around the game as her basketball IQ and raw skills are obvious strengths in her game. The lefty catches ready to shoot and does a great job moving without the ball. She is a crafty finisher with strong shooting form. She can knock down shots off of the catch or dribble, while also showing an ability to score at the rim or through floaters. Courtney also has shown her ability to defend, staying in front and using her length to block shots. She runs the floor well and is poised to continue moving up this list. She averaged 12.7 PPG and 3.7 RPG as a freshman.

Bardstown is another team that has graduated a lot of talent but Courtney is doing her best to carry the Lady Tigers this season. Miyah is averaging 17 points per game this year and is one of the best young talents in the 5th region that is loaded with future D1 players. Miyah is only going to improve and she will likely shine this next AAU season when she has more talent around her and isn’t the focus of the opposing team.

Courtney’s potential is off the charts. She already plays with the poise of a veteran despite being a freshman in high school. What I think I like most about her game is how she brings just as much intensity to the defensive end of the floor as she does offensively. Courtney has strong handles and can get to the basket. She also can knock down shots off of the dribble or the catch. The lefty can shoot the ball from deep range and she only needs a tiny bit of space to get her shot off. She has good length and she uses her length to get defensive stops all game long. Courtney can come up with steals on the ball or in the passing lanes, but she also is a good shot blocker. She can fill up a stat sheet and she will definitely be a major player in the 2026 class all throughout her HS career.
