The 2025-26 season was an unusual one for Riverside as it finished 9-18, snapping a streak of three consecutive 20-win seasons. It was still enough to earn a 5A Division 2 tournament berth and Pierotti emerged as a name to watch in her seventh-grade season on what was a young Warriors bunch. Pierotti competed in 24 contests last season for Riverside and averaged 7.3 points and one rebound per contest. Perhaps a change in classification could yield positive fortunes for Pierotti and her Warriors as they will move back to 4A with the 2026-27 season. Pierotti was the lone middle school talent on last season’s Riverside team.

Morgan is a confident three-point shooter with deep range, showing the ability to knock down shots from well beyond the arc. She had a strong showing at Riverside High School Summer Camp, where she shot the ball exceptionally well. Morgan also runs her lane hard in transition, doing a good job getting behind the defense for easy scoring opportunities.

Morgan led all scorers with 19 points and the biggest bucket of the game to clinch the win for Riverside. She was able to score at all three levels tonight and showed solid on the ball defense. As she gets stronger and sees the floor better she will be big lift for her squad offensively and defensively. Look for her to step up as the primary outside shooting option after Jasleen, while feeding off the opportunities senior Ansley Lagrange sets up for her. With the departure of Kydnal Haroski to college, Riverside will need every bit of Morgan’s scoring ability this season.

Young players such as Pierotti are expected to embrace the “next woman up” mindset. Pierotti embraces that mentality. Pierotti has competed this travel season wearing the uniform of Carolina Hornets United. She stands at 5-foot-11 which is typically a height seen in centers and power forwards. Pierotti also has the skills of a guard – as well as the rim-attacking capabilities of one. She got to the free throw line on many occasions in Riverside’s Friday victory over 3A Oceanside – a testament to how she fuses together talent with toughness. A name that is teeming with upset, she played in 24 games last season for the Warriors and averaged 7.3 points per game.
