About Morghan
Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Reckley is a dynamic, high-upside guard who already plays with confidence beyond her years. She’s at her best with the ball in her hands—quick off the bounce, able to turn the corner and get into the paint, where she can finish or create. Averaged 23.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 4.7 steals. Her scoring ability stands out, especially when she gets into rhythm from the perimeter. Disruptive defender and a flashy playmaker.

I say it often, but Morghan will do a handful of things or make 4-5 plays a game that will leave the crowd making noise and folks shaking their head in disbelief. This season the evolving maturity of her game was on display. She thinks the game at a higher level than she did a few years ago and that makes the next two years very exciting as an evaluator. I have not seen one player stop or even contain Morghan in high schooler AAU. She is one of the best athletes I have covered and when making comparisons she reminds me of Milyasia Fulwiley and Jaloni Cambridge in college and Jordan Speller in high school. Her game is very similar to Cambridge and I expect similar success for her after high school. She is a generational talent who has amassed a cult-like following with her personality and style of play.

Before disqualification, Morghan was starting to score at will with her left hand. Reckley plays with flow and bounce as she looks to change speeds with start-and-stop moves. She got whistled for a few carries, but when she was able to control the ball, there wasn’t much defenders could do to stay in front of her. She elevates extremely well when finishing and is comfortable playing through contact. Morghan hit some tough mid-range jumpers, one along the left baseline on a turnaround which looked like it could be dagger. Reckley tallied 29 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals on 13-26 shooting. I was impressed with her willingness as a passer. Reckley sees the floor well and trusts her teammates when distributing. While she took 26 shots, it didn’t feel like too many were forced.

Reckley finished the game with 29 points, six rebounds, five steals, and three assists, however she was not on the floor when the game was decided after being disqualified for either her second technical or a combination of her fifth foul with a technical included. It was hard to tell what exactly happened on the play that ended her night. To start the game she was able to get by and around the Heritage defenders pretty easily off the dribble, but passed up several open shots she probably would have made trying to facilitate for her teammates. Reckley was too unselfish and that hurt Sandy Creek as much as anything with so many points being left on the board. She dazzles with the ball and does things not many other players can physically. There was one play where she was sprinting back in transition defense and turned her head, located the ball, and then sprang up into the air with full extension and got a piece of the ball before crashing to the floor. Her athleticism is unsurpassed and she plays as hard as anyone while being the most talented player on the court.

Morghan was very efficient scoring the 48 points, even the misses looked like they were going in and most could have resulting in a 55-60 point performance. Scoring 48 points efficiently while making it look easy against a team as big and talented as Monroe is almost unbelievable, but so is the fact that her elite speed and quickness is matched by her anticipation and instincts on the court to go with her insane talent. The thing that standouts to me is that she competes every play like she is playing for her next meal. She is on GO from the time ball is tipped until the final horn sounds every game. The fadeaway threes, viral ball handling, and insanely difficult finishes around the rim have made her a household name and she has all the game to back it up. As someone who sits very close to these games, I can say listening to her while she plays is just as, if not more, entertaining.

Morghan, like Acree, can go get a bucket almost anytime she wants. She is ranked across the board, by every recruiting site and service, in the top ten (some in the top 5) in her class in the country for a reason. Her blazing speed and elite ball handling enable her to slice through defenses like Swiss cheese. Reckley has an incredible ability to hit very difficult shots over taller defenders on the perimeter and the smooth finishing ability to finish around them in the paint. Something that was on full display earlier this season versus Newton, the defending AAAAAA state champs who are also still playing. She is just as good defensively applying maximum pressure when her man has the basketball and jumping in the passing lane to deflect and steal balls before turning them into uncontested layups on the break and an easy two points for Sandy Creek.

, recently offered by Miami, is an excellent two-way player herself. She is one of the better defenders in the state (Region DPOY), generating steals and transition points each game while also consistently knocking down shots from the perimeter.

could breakout with a monster game at any time as well. The freshman post has shown steady improvement over the course of the season for Sandy Creek and could develop into a power four prospect. She needs to have a presence in the post for her team to advance.

Reckley’s quickness allows her to do things with the basketball that most every other player simply cannot do. She was extremely hard to stay in front of for the AAAAAA defending state champion Newton Lady Rams. Morghan goes into every game as the player the other team has to stop, yet she still finds a way to get to basket and finish. She has an incredible ability to create space with the dribble and good movement without the ball allowing her to get off and knock down tough shots. She hit several contested shots in a row from the corners and once again she was able to generate her own offense by creating deflections and steals and speeding by everyone for uncontested layups on the other end.

There is a reason that Morgan won a 2025 FIBA U16 AmeriCup Gold Medal for Team USA and it was on full display with AEBL in Ohio. The reason is that she is one of the most versatile guards in America and a true PG. She controls tempo, scores when she wants to and makes sure all her teammates are involved. Playing 17U as a 2028, there was not a guard in Ohio that could contain her. Defensively, she wreaks havoc on opposing guards.

This was my first time getting eyes on Morghan live and in-person. I’ll say this.. film just doesn’t do her greatness justice! A 2028 playing up on the 17U P24 squad, she was dynamite today vs Empire State and Michigan Mystics. She brought electricity to the back court and dazzled with shifty handles and the ability to finish with either hand. In fact, she may just have some of the best handles in the entire field. Unable to be stopped in the open court; signature one-handed scoop finish. Devastating step-back jumpers and pull-up 3’s. She goes just as hard on defense, putting the clamps on and forcing opponents to give up the ball. Two-way menace.
