Mya Hedstorm Mya Hedstorm 5'10" | SF St. Mary's | 2024 State NE is an individual that we have covered a handful of times this season and for good reason. Every time that she takes the floor, she has a productive game. That’s been a constant all season long and that was a theme again in her team’s first game of the State Tournament on Thursday morning. Hedstorm is smooth, calm, and collected. She never forces a pass and she always makes sure to stop on 2-feet, helping her play off of a balance stance in any situation. In her teams 13 point win in Round One, Hedstorm scored her team’s first 6 points and that was just the start. After this she played off of the defenses inability to stop her and she was creating for others in a plethora of different ways in the open court. In their next game the production of Hedstorm is going to be a major key to her St. Marys team’s success.

There isn’t a player averaging a triple-double this season throughout the state but the individual that is the closest to doing it is My Hedstorm of St. Mary’s High School. Hedstorm is a 5’10 Combo Guard, that has the ability to move between the 2, 3, and 4 on a the high school floor. Throughout her teams first 13 games this season, she is averaging 18 PPG, 8 RPG, and 5 APG to help her team to a 11-2 record. As you can tell, Hedstorm has been doing it all so far this winter and I’m expect that trend to continue. She is the type to understand her role at this point and that won’t be changing. She is going to stay engaged, aggressive, and strategic. If she does all of that, while continuing to work with everything’s she got. She is going to continue to see success and so will this program.
