Beyond the offense, she brings energy as a leader—both vocally and through her play. Defensively, she was disruptive, generating steals and deflections while applying pressure in the press.

Washington racked up 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals against Dawson County, highlighted by a step-back three. Against Denmark, Ka’Mya’s Energizer Bunny approach led to 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals as she attacked full court and looked to dump off to teammates for layups and short corner jumpers.  

The sparkplug play of Washington was paramount in a win over Denmark as she used her speed and aggressiveness to rack up a team-best 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal after tallying 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals in a loss to Lanier. Ka’Mya is at her best when she is able to play under control and read what the defense is giving her. She has a quick first step to get downhill and is a threat to either finish at the rim or drop off sharp assists to her posts on the opposite block. Washington flashes some “wow” moments throughout games on both ends of the floor.

Washington provided a jolt of energy, getting downhill on drives behind drives. Her speed gave Veterans issues as she got two feet in the paint consistently. She capitalized at the foul line and was a conduit for Jackson County’s comeback bid.

She loves to dive in for on-ball steals and is an aggressive-minded playmaker that can weasel her way to the rim for layups with either hand and also hit teammates at the last second with impressive passes through tight quarters. Eliminating turnovers and fouls will help her reach her ceiling. Washington is a reliable stat sheet stuffer. She tallied 11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 6 steals and 1 block against East Forsyth before collecting 5 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in a win over Loganville.
